Dragon Heart 3 story idea!

An old and retired knight has lost all hope. His best friend died when going into battle and now he has been kicked out of his town just because a new and younger knight has took his place and everybody has forgot about there old leader Jake Hammond. Jake travels alone but his life takes a dramatic turn when he meets a baby dragon named Drake! Drake magically grows up into a strong and vicious dragon! But Jake doesn't treat Drake like a friend. Instead he treats him like a weapon, just to get revenge on the world but they still travel together. Despite not acting like a real friend Jake is badly injured when he goes back to his homeland and Drake kindly gives him half of his heart but if Jake gets injured Drake will too. Now the two of them must look out for each other and slowly Jake begins to act like a proper friend. Eventually they plan to go back home and even though Jake is not as strong he plans to get his place back and be a leader once more.

kay , i honestly i like this idea, but the dudes name sounds too modern.and the name Drake has been used.

For the record, I relish any ideas concerning DH sequels. I like the "Jake" character here and think the story-line is pretty tight and would make a great sub-plot. To add, I imagine a decent sequel/prequel would have to have more about the relationship between dragons and humans.

Also there IS apparently going to be another DTV DH sequel "Dragonheart 3: The Sorcerer's Curse" in 2015...
