Anthony LaPaglia as Bobby

I thought Anthony LaPaglia acted very well as Bobby and his voice (as described in the book) was spot-on!
But I didn't think he *matched* the description Frannie provides in the book.
In the book, he's described as unimaginably handsome, and while Mr. LaPaglia is kind of nice looking he's not book-description sexy. He acts kind of *dopey* as the hubby, but that is likely intentional.

Anyone else think this too?

"Didn't he discover America?"
"Penfold, shush."

Anthony LaPaglia was great in this movie. He scared the crap out of me in every scene. To me, this movie was so heart pounding, and I cried at this movie too. Anthony should have won something for his performance.

He was scary here agreed! He almost sweat menace!

But I really don't think he was textbook handsome enough, compared to description in the novel.
