Am I the only guy who liked this movie?

Found it funny, heartening and suprisingly inteligent, someone tell me I'm not crazy here..

reply

No you're not crazy.

I liked it too.

The flick suffers from a far-fetched starting point, and has a bunch of myriad "oh, come ON" plot devices that are hard to take seriously.

It was aparrent to me however, that the writer was less concerned with telling a grounded, realistic story then he was putting forth a few deep thoughts from both men and women on the battle o' the sexes. The intellegent back-and-forth between the charachters is what makes the movie.

Most people I know don't really like that, and so I wouldn't reccomend the flick to them.

I would have to agree with F6 the movie was well done. I loved the story.

reply

it's spelled "Intelligent"

Light travels faster than sound,
that's why people seem bright,
until you hear them.

reply

lol. You're not crazy, the dialog was very good, very Kevin Smihish

reply

If you're referring to Kevin Smith, then that's an insult to the man. His movies have clever dialogue, which this one does not.

reply

My fiance loves it.

And I thought tons of guys would like it, if not for the story but at least for all the nude shots and pretty girls everywhere.

reply

I'm a guy, and this movie was a very nice little gem hiding among YouTube's movie section. I especially loved his ballsy foosball opponent, played by Ms. Heigl.

This movie did have clever lines. I'm not a fan of Kevin Smith. Never find him more than being just clever.

This is an awesome movie. I didn't like American Pie Movies. Love this one because it's more interesting and plus outrageous in the tongue in cheek sort of way. This is a teen flick for adults. Definitely a must see for intelligent high schoolers as well. Way more than what I had expected. What separate this movie from other teen flicks is that it's not just about getting girla, but how to accept and understand the other person.

you obviously haven't seen Chasing Amy or Zach and Miri Make a Porno if you think Kevin Smith wouldn't resort to this kind of film

reply

your not alone man..as the above comments suggest. i watched it again tonight, first time since the one dvd copy hit the local video shop. brilliant movie, it rivals american pies sense of humor and over the top antics but at the same time the dialogue is so intelligent and witty it takes the movie far beyond the usual genre of 'sex and comedy'. truely a movie kevin smith would be proud to have put his name too

'say something about my grammar if it makes yourself happy but your still a muppet!'

so today i watched "Zack and Miri Make a Porno" and "100 Girls". and i totally agree with everyone saying that 100 Girls is a movie Kevin Smith would put his name on.

the movie is very obviously made to attract guys' attentions but at the same time, it has more heart than it does nudity. coming from a girl's point of view, i absolutely love this movie. i thought it was adorable and Tucker's character is EXACTLY what every girl wishes she had. thank god men appreciate this movie. if they didn't, women would have no hope.

reply

Every girl wishes she had a huge wimp of a boyfriend? Somehow I doubt that.

reply

I though the movie was great, very funny

reply

It's very underrated, although not perfect it makes a lot of the comedies released to theatres today look like a classic. What I like most about this flick is the narration & all of the excellent now better known gals that showed up in this. Again the narration has so many things that I have often thought about & all the details in what he says is really quite good and/or people will enjoy hearing. I would even say that in another 10-15 years time this flick will get a little more respect that it deserves.

I found it kinda funny, had some intelligent thoughts there, and was pleasant.

Still not a good movie by any means including within it's genre.

Oh a side note, seeing Katherine Heigl and Larisa Oleynik kinda making out Lady and the Tramp style was kinda hot and I was interested to see more if ya know what I mean. ;)

Other than that, yes the movie was kinda ok for it's genre and had some good and interesting moments.
