Didn't like it

For the most part, it felt like they tried to make a reality show about dinosaurs.

Insofar as?

No. Reality shows are not documentaries, they do not attempt to educate people but instead exploit social groups and situations often in a more restrained "fly on the wall" manner. The "Walking With..." series is of course story-boarded and situations are played out in accordance with the creator's research and some stretch of the imagination but in such a way that it feels like someone has plonked a camera crew amongst some dinosaurs who are just going about their lives like we do today with lions, elephants, etc. in the wild to observe them. Reality shows don't do that, they're purely made to entertain often by ridiculing the subject matter because society today is pathetic and needs reality shows so that vain audiences can attempt to hold others in contempt, judge or mock strangers to satisfy their own pretentious egos instead of tuning into some educational material that they might actually benefit from watching once in a while. America is the worst country for pumping out "reality TV" crap and polluting its already under-educated nation's minds with more reasons to hate and discriminate.
