Was Billy Zane high while filming this?

I like Billy Zane. I'm sure it was the character he played but the way he talked, I just wanted to finish his sentences to hurry him up. I love him in Demon Night and it's such an opposite style. He just seemed like he was just a little slower than everyone else when he talked, except when he was running or fighting. Maybe it was just me, but they could make it 10 minutes shorter if he just talked a little faster.
