Every time she is on screen i slam my head into the wall, she is the single worst invention by Toriyama. Gohan do your school work. Gohan wear this stupid and impractical outfit to Namek. Gohan, i don't care if your friends are dead and the planet is under threat of being destroyed, you have homework to do. Gohan, you just fought and defeated a threat to the world, now do your homework. Gohan, don't grow up to be like your father who is the hero and savior of the universe, no, you want to play with kids you have nothing in common with and grow up to work in a cubicle.

How Chi Chi and her critically judgmental and self-centeredly jaded self can ride the nimbus is beyond me. When your father is a highly trained martial artist and you are married to the greatest fighter in the universe, you need to get over your ideals of living some applepie life.

Chi Chi is such a Crybaby

She cries even more than Angelica Pickles from Rugrats&Penny Ling from Littlest Pet Shop 2012&Cow from Cow&Chicken Does
And shes the only Being that Fears Goku and hates Super Saiyens

Shes loud&annoying&shes the queen of anime crybabies

And thank goodness shes turned into an egg by Super Buu in the Fusion Saga

While I think she is annoying and goes too far she has a point. IIRC Goku mentions to Bulma and Krillin in the first episode that both he and Chi Chi agreed that Gohan would be a scholar and not a fighter. Gohan also says numerous times throughout the series that he never wanted to be a fighter. He only does it to help the people he cares about and spend time with his father who would otherwise be ignoring him. Chi Chi just expected Goku to own up to his promise.

I say this as a huge Goku fan.

Couple this with the fact that Goku is a terrible husband and an absentee father as well as her son getting kidnapped by her husband's nemesis for a year where she had no idea what had happened to him and she has a right to be a little crazy.

When your father is a highly trained martial artist and you are married to the greatest fighter in the universe, you need to get over your ideals of living some applepie life.

She never once asked for some apple pie life. She has correctly pointed out that Goku never once contributes any money to the household. In fairness she should have known what she was getting into when she married him but that doesn't excuse the fact that Goku has the means to make money. He could dominate any sport or win any fighting tournament.

Chi Chi is annoying and the stereotypical nagging wife but Goku is a crappy husband. At least Chi Chi takes care of her family. Both Goku and Gohan always had a hot meal when they get home.

How is Chi-Chi self-centered? She never made any demands for nobility and pretty much sacrificed her life to her family.

I honestly don't see how wanting a better for your child is somehow impure. The only she would be portrayed as such (or in particular, the anime empathizes it) because she's in a battle shonen aimed at young boys where motherhood and education doesn't matter. A better is how Goku can ride it despite being such a selfish prick.

Only because Chi-Chi intimidated Goku into agreeing with her.

Chi-Chi became a highly skilled martial artist in her own right as well. But then after marrying Goku she decides martial arts is a waste of time.  Yes indeed, Chi-Chi knew darn well how Goku is, so why choose him as her husband if she wants a normal life?

Chi Chi is one of my least favorite characters, she forced Goku into a loveless marriage with her. Off the 3 marriages in DBZ, Chi Chi/Goku was the least convincing. It's ironic that Vegeta and Bulma had more convincing affection and passion for eachother than Chi Chi and Goku.
