Fight scenes

Did anyone else really love the fight scenes? I did, I thought they were masterfully choreographed. Basically just long, uninterrupted shots of swordfighting guys whom you can tell actually have skill with these weapons. It's a lot better than those fight scenes in a lot of other movies which try to cover up the fysical unability of their actors with a lot of editing.

Some other movies in which I really like the fightscenes (though not necessarily for the same reasons that I like them for in 'Gohatto'):

WARNING! The vids might contain spoilers.

Akahige
There's a scene in which Red Beard teaches some guys a lesson by throwing them all around the place (and breaking their bones). He uses jiu-jitsu, or Aikido.
Couldn't find any vids of the scene unfortunatley

Zatoichi (2003) These fights might be a bit over the top, but not too much, so I still like them.

Yes, you are correct.
I was very impressed with Takeshi Kitano and his use of the Bokken who to be honest he looked a natural. He was not without poise, strength and speed unlike many actors who turn their hand to fighting as with many you can tell it is all show and no 'true' power.
Whenever Kitano does fight scenes he always looks real and not overly staged like many actors who are choreographed too much.

'Twilight Samurai' also has some well crafted fight scenes for those who like 'Gohatto'.
