In the credits it says that the character "Oliver" is played by Erik Todd Dellums. He is one of the younger brothers in the Dellums family. So this made me wonder 2 things.
1) If a real member of the family was in it, does this mean that it wouldn't be too far off?
2) Which character did he play? because I can't remember an Oliver

I don't know, but this movie took place in the 70s, so if a member of the Dellums family was in it, it would have to be the next generation. Either Piper or one of her siblings' children.

I searched him on here and he is the son of the actual Congressman Ron Dellums, so in the year 2000 he would have to be an adult character. Possibly one of the guys in the office when the congressman first meets Mahree. I will have to watch it again to see.
shareOliver is one of the men working with Ron and there's a picture of him on IMDB now. He's called by name (but it sounds like Jason at first, then Oliver at the end, I think) in one of the first office scenes and is holding a cup, when they watch the news in the office at one time.
