shareThey said several 'bad' words, including a couple of South African ones. I think it's alright considering the context. Afterall, as in the film, how will children (and adults) learn what words are 'bad' if they don't hear them? And I thought they were pretty educational in this film. Disney must've thought so too.

yeah i noticed that too...i also noticed that in the beginning mahree called her brother a "dummkopf" which is german for "dumb head" or "retard" i thought that was wierd since they weren't even near germany.anyone else notice this,or does anyone even /know/ german?

I haven't seen this movie since it first came out but I do know a fair bit about South Africa and. . .
She was probably speaking Afrikaans(the language most white people in SA speak), which is based on Dutch. Dutch is phonetically similar to German.
