What do you remember about Widget, + how did you rediscover it?

I'm surprised that many others have shared my plight about Widget. Even when I was under 10 years old, I was searching for this show, asking about whether people remembered it or not. My memories were fairly warped. I thoguht he was called Fidget (I recalled hearing Fidget during the ending credits) but I vividly remembered his shape-shifting powers (along with how whatever he turns into is purple), and I thought Mega-Brain had a turban on his head. I first remembered it one night when I was playing with my aunt on my bed & she tells me to stop fidgeting & then I start thinking "Fidget, that's the name of a cartoon I used to watch!" I remember telling mom & dad about it at dinner one night, including what I remembered about it. They are:

One ep where Mega-Brain is sucked into a submarine & put into a bottle. Widget turns into a dolphin (or was it a seal?) & goes after him. The last I remember was Widget swimming up to a window on the submarine & then.... nothing else.

A scene (maybe from the same ep) where Widget is sleeping in his hammock & Mega-Brain pops out of his watch & wakes him up.

And my favorite memory of Widget. He's captured by this alien & his henchman. I remember that the alien liked to lift weights (I think so, he was lifting some when the henchman brought Widget to him), and his henchman looked like a purple rhino-man (like Rocksteady in the old Ninja Turtles). The henchman says something like "Yo, boss, I brought him to ya." And then we see a bunch of robot duplicates of widget which look exactly like him on the outside, and one had a copy of Mega-brain pop out of his watch! Once I remember trying to play with my sister, where I was Widget & she was the rhino-guy (naturally she didn't play along very well).

Then, one day back in 2001, I'm looking through the library in the children's book section. Then, on another shelf, I see a familiar looking purple head. I'm like It's Fidget! & then I got the book & read it. Shortly afterward I ordered the videos online, & enjoyed them, although they weren't the ones I remembered. To this day I have not seen another Widget. If anyone knows where to watch them for free online, please let me know. I'd be especially grateful if someone put them on youtube.

I remember this show when I was about 8 or 9 years old. I had completely forgot about it, the moment i went off the air and they stopped showing it. I think it was about 4 years ago, I stumbled upon this website that had multiple mp3 files or cartoon opening songs. I just happened to listen to Widget's and I remembered it immediately. And Sci-Yi-YI, the blue guy's name was HalfPint.

I watched this back when I was about 4 or 5 before I used to leave for school in the morning. It used to be shown in a lineup on a local channel, which also had "Denver, The Last Dinosaur" in said lineup. If I could find a way to watch it again, I'll be glad.

I used to watch the same lineup, I think. Did this show have a commercial lead-in that was something like "Pulsing pulsars and quaking quasars - we'll be right back!"

For some reason, that line is ingrained in my memory.

Seriously, this was my favorite TV show when I was nine years old.
I think I even had a crush on Widget, as much as you can have a crush on a purple cartoon alien. 😄
