Has anyone actually got the tv series?

I'm curious as to how the book would be represented on screen and have tried to contact the BBC and BBC shops about getting hold of a copy without success. Has anyone got any other ideas? Appreciate it.

persist with the BBC!
when I lived in ireland I hassled the beeb re the unavailabilty of the soundtrack outside the Uk and in the end they sent me a copy for free (which was very kind!)

look, as a musician myself, i'm sensitive about piracy but when things are totally unavailable i think copies count more as word of mouth promotion and this series was FANTASTIC, it absolutely OUGHT to be available on DVD. Assuming it isnt, (PLEASE tell me if i'm wrong), if you can tell me an easy way to to transfer from VHS which I have, i'll safeguard my VHS copy electronically ;)

Just connect your DVD recorder via scart to your video machine. Then play the video and record the dvd...however, this only gets it to dvd! You will need some sort of software to get it from the dvd onto your computer to be able to upload it to the web. I still haven't managed to figure out how to do this!

I have only one episode of this on video and would LOVE to see the whole series. Being from Belfast, and growing up during the ceasefire, I would be really interested to see this drama as I missed it the one and only time it was shown :(

Hi,

I don't know if you've already managed to transfer the tape to DVD, but I'd be highly interested. For years I've been trying to get me a copy of the show and no luck so far. I do have the soundtrack though, but I would love to finally be able to watch the series with my own eyes.
If you don't know how to transfer from VHS, I have a friend who has professional equipment to do it, but of course this means you'd have to trust me with it. I am in Holland myself.
Look forward to hearing from you, or anyone who can provide me with a copy of the series on DVD.
Thanks so much in advance!

A few years have past since I last posted and still I haven't been able to lay my hands on a decent recording of the t.v. series of Eureka Street. A few people have contacted me claiming they have the series on DVD and wanted to deliver against ridiculous amounts of money. I am willing to buy, and am willing to pay, but everything within reasonable limits. I do want to see Eureka Street, but I am not so desparate that I would give half a monthly salary for it.
So, what happened to the joy of sharing? If you have the DVD and am willing to share a copy of it with me, I am willing to pay you for all the expenses and will also add a little extra to share my gratitude. That's all I have to offer, my money is tight and that's the way it is.
There must be someone out there who has a copy and is willing to share.
Would love to hear from you!

Cheers, Annelies
