Recently I have started watching a few anime shows and I am just wonderign what are some of the best ones. Currently I have seen Cowboy Bebop, Future Diary, Elfen Lied, code Geass, Death Note and Higurashi. Right now I am watching Rin Daughters of Mnemosyne and I am nearly finished it so I am looking for some good ones to watch next,

You've watched some fantastic anime thus far, Bebop is my all time favorite, and I love nearly every other title you mentioned... my recommendations are...

- Wolf's Rain
- The Big O
- FullMetal Alchemist
- Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood
- Trigun
- Psycho-Pass - The storyline is wrapped by the end, skip season 2, it's horrible.
- Yu Yu Hakusho
- Hellsing Ultimate
- Samurai Champloo
- Samurai Seven
- Space Dandy
- Tiger and Bunny
- Black Lagoon
- Full Metal Panic!
- Mushi-Shi
- Gungrave - SKIP episode 1, it spoils the entire storyline and episode 17 is the exact same episode.
- The Irresponsible Captain Tylor
- Legend of the Legendary Heroes
- Gun X Sword
- Area 88
- The SoulTaker
- Jyu-Oh-Sei: Planet of the Beast King
- Mars Daybreak

I'd give all of these at least an 8.5/10, if not higher.

Thanks for the suggestions I have bought the first 26 episodes of Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood off of ebay so I will be watching that when the arrive.

I have recently gotten into anime as well. Other than Bebop I have also seen Trigun and Attack on Titan. Trigun is kinda similar to Bebop, its a sci-fi/western hybrid with a main who character who has a troubling past. I recommend it, its animation is a bit dated, it starts off a bit silly and has some pacing issues, but is a lot of fun with moments of excellence. Attack on Titan is just epic and very addicting, it too has some pacing issues but when its good, its f-cking awesome

You're gonna carry that weight.

I have seen Attack on Titan, I forgot about that one in my original post though. I will check out Trigun and see if I like it, thanks for the suggestions.

Steins;Gate!!! Just watched it and it blew me away. I'm also a fairly new anime viewer. I also watched Knights of Sidonia on Netflix and was great.

Trigun

Boogiepop Phantom
Paranoia Agent

Can't stop the signal.

Nobody mentioned Baccano and Berserk(The Series). They are my favorite animes along with Cowboy Bebop.

Bebop really is in another class. I had the misfortune a few years back of watching Bebop as one of my first animes and search and search fruitlessly to find an anime that even came close to it. I finally gave up and haven't watched a new anime series in years.

Have you seen Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood? I'm sitting through that right now and at about 26 episodes through I would say it is just as good as Cowboy Bebop for me at least.

reply

Actually I watched the first one and liked it but never got around to watching Brotherhood which I understand follows the manga more accurately. I'll give it a shot.
