why did tyr get killed off ? did the actor want out ?

why did keith hamilton cobb leave andromeda? what are your thoughts and opinions on such a classic character?

Yep, KHC wanted out.

I would have preferred for them to stick with the original idea of making Beka Nietzschean and leave another male Nietzschean character out of it altogether.

well the other actor playing telemachus rhade was a million times better... so i cannot complain

However, the main issue was that Kevin had the head writer from Andromeda fired and had the remaining writers change the series. Keith's character was suppose to play a bigger role in the overall story arc and Kevin being the insecure person he is, and not wanting to compete with Keith, had his role reduced. Keith asked to be let go around the 3rd season. It sucked after he left too.
