I'm not trolling, I'm being serious. The fact that he was so fat reduced the threat of the character for me from the lean and mean look he had in [I]Lambs[/]. Would it have killed him to lose weight for the role?

I wouldn't say he was 'lean and mean' in SOTL, but he did gain weight in Hannibal. Then again, he was 10 years older.

You have to understand as well that he had been in jail for years eating very little. Being out on his own he was eating early and often!
