omfg worst movie ever

And I don't say that lightly. I was in the early 90's ny michael alig scene and this is pure blasphemy.

Which means you know nothing about the late 90's/early 00's San Francisco non-Club Kids scene, and thus are a douche for saying "omfg worst movie ever".

reply

Agreed, this isn't about the "club kid" scene, it's about the "raver" scene. The raver scene had a totally different vibe. The club kid scene was more about extravagance & excess, whereas the raver scene was more about experiencing, & sharing. Well it was until these new aged little punks ruined it, but it was GREAT! P.L.U.R.!!!!

Couldn't agree more......both scenes were vastly different!

I beg to differ....you obviously haven't seen "Lawnmower Man 2". Now LM2 was truely a piece of s***. I hate to flame but you just may be another New Yorker suffering from San Francisco envy.

I was raving in SF in late 90's and early 2000's, and it's pretty accurate. I was taking a course at the academy of art college and remember seeing casting call signs for extras "must enjoying dancing, and wear comfortable relaxed clothes." Saw it opening day, 1st screening at the Embarcadero. Two other people in the theater aside from myself and a friend, hehe. Not the greatest movie ever, but fun, and in terms of accuracy, it's pretty spot-on for the era and location. Every city has a different vibe and style in DJing/music, so I'm sure east coast undergrounds and clubs were very different.
