No other 'modern time' movie had impressed me more

With modern time I mean movies of ~ the last 20 years. What an intense situation and also acting. As sadly here usual with really unusual movies, un-understnadable bad rating...

Couldn't agree with you more Starshine....*nods*

This movie has been and remains at the top of my list since the day I first saw it.

i have to agree, probably one of my favourite movies, alot of people i know bag this movie out and say how boring it is, the only proble i have with it is that its too short

Boring? REally boring? I can only imagine 3 kinds of people, who might find it boring:
peopl who need extrem action or do not understand the slang or have not the ability to sit down and SEE/HEAR/understand really (and in this case it is important to do so....)

The in the meanwhile finished transcript of the movie is to get for free http://hjackman.com/shtml/movies/EK/plot.shtml

BTW, there is to download a LOT of clips and more (Hugh Jackman's body of work, including the early years in Australia)

We should sit all those people down and force 'em to watch Brokeback Mountain repeatedly then they would get some idea of what "boring" really means!

I grant you EK starts off slowly but it builds and builds towards the explosive final showdown between Wace and Barky and, even though I must have seen this film nigh on a hundred times by now and I can quote from it verbatim not only 'cause I'm hopelessly devoted to Marty Denniss but also 'cause I helped out with the HJMM transcript, it still has the capacity to build a heavy tension in my chest and to make me mewl at the screen in sympathy every time I see it.

Boring? No way, no how!

I love this movie, it's on my list of must see australian films. I watch every australian film I can get my hands on and this one made me really proud because it's so wonderful and because I know about the problems the australian film industry is facing.
