Who Liked This Movie?

I did!

I did too. I think people were expecting an out and out horror film. People don't like it when Romero does something different.

Chutzpah is when you kill your parents & ask for mercy in the court 'cause you're an orphan!

Just saw this on 'Zone Horror' in the UK was intrigued by the concept so I 'boxed it' to watch on those early sunday mornings when you wake up and there is nowt on TV. Overall, I enjoyed it, I thought it was well acted, though I guess the americans will hate Flemyng's accent, personally, I thought he did an OK job for a cockney geeza. I will always applaud a movie for attempting something different. Sure, there are parallels with 'American Psycho', but you can draw parallels anywhere if you look hard enough. (Star wars vs Harry Potter enyone?) The bottom line is that it held my attention for the duration of the film, and that's because the movie made me care what happened to Henry. If a movie manages that, then it's a winner in my book, regardless of the genre.

I consider it unfair to enter a battle of wits when my opponent is so inadequately armed.

I think the blurb on the DVD box was kind of misleading, but it still had a lot going for it. It made it out like he becomes some remorseless, unstoppable killer, so I went in with that mood. But if I'd seen it without build up I think it's a film I would have enjoyed more. Milo's eventual death was brilliantly hilarious.
