I watched all seasons. I ask a question for pets Dewey wanted a dog and they said no. They don't have a dog and cat in house. Why? What's wrong with them?

Well, their boys were very troublesome, so maybe they thought they couldn't take care of it, or would neglect it? I know a lot of people who aren't fond of having dogs or cats in the house..
shareyup. and I just added in another post how the law is much more strict when it comes to animal abuse and neglect than with human children.
the get one report of neglect or abuse and the animal gets taken away. kids get to stay in the environment for years 'so acs could WORK WITH the 'families' but the animals get taken away the same day.
I love animals and there is a special fire chair in hell for animal abusers but at the end of the day, Marilyn Milian is right. They are just animals/pets.

Dogs and cats cost a lot of money to care for properly and are a 10+ year investment. I assumed they couldn't afford it and Lois knew she'd end up having to take care of it.
The big moments are gonna come. You can't help that. It's what you do afterwards that counts.
Also, having to put up with badly behaved boys under a small salary, plus having dogs and cats would be unbearable

dogs and cats need constant care, food, shelter, walking/kitty litter... shots and checkups from very expensive vets even with insurance.
they couldn't afford to feed the human children they had. I think they did a good thing by not adding another mouth to feed.

In a season 6 episode, "Ida Loses a Leg," Hal actually gets Dewey a dog to make Dewey stop feeling bad for Ida saving his life but losing her leg in the process. Dewey actually gets Ida's leg back from the doctor and wants to have a funeral for the leg, but the new dog finds the leg and eats it. I assume Hal got rid of the dog after that
