I'm very disappointed in the 2006 condensation of the telenovela.
It leaves out the humor and quirky situations (like Monica going off to be married in her nun's habit) that made the series so addictive. All that is left is a rather plain, soggy romance.
Also it it technically substandard. At one point, the screen gets so dark you can't see the actors. Bad transfer, I suppose.
I want the extended version, even if I don't understand every single word.
Are you sure you are talking of the 1993 novela version with Eduardo Palomo. In this version Monica does not go off to marry in her nun's habit. I do remember that in the movie version, with Julio Aleman as Juan, the screen was dark many times.

There are several versions of Corazon Salvaje currenly on EBay:
A 2006 DVD release of the telenovela, 270 min in Spanish with English subtitles.
A 1994 DVD release of the telenovela, 270 min in Spanish, no subititles.
A 20 disc CDR? recording of the telenovela, 80 episodes.
Various VCR tapes.
A movie version.
