what's the deal on Burrus

The actor playing the father seems excellent, yet he has no bio or history on here. Any ideas where he came from? He was nominated for "best debut" for some award outfit, but seems hard to believe he wasn't a tv or at least theater actor before this.

Bob just died this week at the age of 68... and that's what led me to look him up on here.

Bob was in fact, a long-time professional theatre actor. I directed him in many productions at Actors Theatre of Louisville. In his career he performed in over 378 plays at 31 theatres.

His obituary can be found here this week:

Bob was a solid, down-to-earth guy who brought integrity and a low-key charm to every role he played. He will be missed!

Oh my gosh, I did not know he died recently. Now I feel depressed... It's like reliving the ending of Tully. He was amazing in this film. I wish he was still around, even if I never knew him personally.

Wow. I did not realize that he had died. That is sad. He was only in two films, but he did an excellent job in this one.

I was surprised to hear that he worked at Actors Theatre in Louisville. I'm originally from Louisville and saw many fine performances there in my youth.
