I was watching Icons on G4. The episode was on the Prince of Persia series and at the end they mentioned that Disney was producing a Prince of Persia movie with Jerry Bruckheimer directing and the original creator of Prince of Persia. Anybody have anymore information on this production.

It will not be as good as the screenplay for it that was authored by Robin Midian (used to be Robin Marlow, then Robin Redfield, look it up) which Mechner dismissed through Jim Charne. I guess we'll get a Bruckheimer classic, big name actors and actresses, epic, instead of the more intimate nature the original game demands. Heck, I'll bet they go with the Sands Of Time or Warriour Within plots instead of the original and best.
