Did Natascha Richardson actually cut off her hair to do the film, or is it a wig under the wig...if you know what I mean..? :)

Since Haven and Chelsea Walls came out around the same time (meaning they were probably filmed around the same time) I'd have to go with a wig over a bald cap. Or even just that in certain scenes. After all it could have been her natural hair for the majority of the scenes and a wig looking like hers when she takes it off
