Jan Jensen is very much alive. I had her for a drama teacher in Georgia, she's a great woman and very kind. She's mainly interested in improv and comedy and she told me she only did this movie as a favor to the director (which is why I believe this is not her strongest acting role).

The director also took 3 months to shoot this thing and he borrowed someone's house the whole time. The ending was originally different and involved her character killing the villain, but it was changed three times during filming, ultimately to the ending in the pool (possibly because they lost their location and had to find a new one?) and having a dream sequence.

Jan is mainly trained in stage acting and quite good from what I've seen her in. She mainly does Tennessee Williams shows and other time period dramas with her students and sometimes participates in the Tennessee Williams festival in Louisiana, where she's from and where the movie was shot.

Did she prefer crack or heroine while shooting the picture?

I think she was tripping when this film was made, but other drugs may have been involved too.
