Repeated spoofs

I don't understand why Scream and I know what you did last Summer were spoofed again. They were already spoofed in the Scary Movie series.

Because they were the most successful horror movies of the 90s and this movie was blatantly trying to cash in on the success of Scary Movie.

Actually this movie and Scary Movie came out at around the same time. It's not like these producers saw Scary Movie and said, "Ooh, we should do one."

It was actually during or before the time Scary Movie was made, but Scary Movie had the better budget and the bigger actors, so it got released first, and this was bumped down to a direct-to-video release.

It's a better satire, too, which is why Scary Movie being more famous is annoying.

Scary move was 10x funnier. Shriek is better than epic, date, disaster movie.
