Got a question. What ever happened to Jerry after he kills Grant? The ending only shows him waiting for trial. Was he found guilty or innocent? Did he ever go to prison? And was this based on a true story?

From what I remember, he plea-bargained and got five years, which meant he was out in two and a half.
