I'm glad a film has been made about the early part of the Beat's history.
It was not good, the script was not that great, and the acting.
Courtney Love as awful
Ron Livingston - enjoyable to watch
Keifer Sutherland - good actor, but certainly not William Burroughs.
Now what is needed is a serious team of Writers, Director and Producers and come up with a decent film about the origins of the Beat Generation.
The film did not inspire anyone (heck I was doing the ironing watching it!) and I just wish it did, as the Beat Generation was a fantastic era, and this film did not do it any justice.
Well, you might be happy (or angry) to know that Walter Salles (Motorcycle Diaries) is supposedly making a movie of Kerouac's "On the Road."
It's here on IMDb, but I don't know if it's been updated recently.
