Why was it called awake

The preview of this movie and even the very beginning of the movie when it's giving us facts about being awake during surgery, it makes us believe the movie is solely about someone going thru something unimaginable. However, after they break his chest open there's nothing more about him being awake during surgery. They could have just made it where he was dreaming everything instead of thinking it. I just thought the movie gave us a false impression about what It was going to be about.

With that said, I did like it

Because he was awake when they began the surgery. He endures so much pain (because he's awake), that he had an out of body experience.

Because if he'd been under normal sedation he wouldn't have heard about the plot against him. So the name of the movie is perfect.

I liked the way they worked the title into the last line in the movie, too, along with that visual.

Actors do not have a job...they have a blast!

Bc he was awake he heard evertthing that was going on and he felt it if it was normal you shouldnt hear anything

My dad actually went through the same thing couple years back he also had a heart transplant and there was also something wrong with the anesthesia he said he heard everything that was going on during the operation.

So basicly you are out but not completly your still half awake.

It happens to alot of people.
