Undercover? How did he know there was something going on? At the very end he called the police over to where they other Drs were trying to get into the elevator and escape...how did he know what happened?

Another thing I though of; The guy's mom could have got that doctor to check on everything, as she was concerned his friend was a crap doctor and would make a mess of the op.
Also, there could have been a recording device in the theater. That was my only explanation for how he knew for certain that they were trying to kill him. Or else, why would he leave the theater?

I thought maybe the doctor who backed out tipped off police, so they sent Larry in.

When her doctor comes and takes over the surgery, he goes into the operating room and tells the bad doctors that they know something was done and that they can run, but the police were on the way. As this happens, Dr Larry is seen overhearing this and thats when he learns about it. He then goes and helps the cops find the bad guys.

Who called the police and how did the mother exactly come to the conclusion that Jake was trying to kill his son? Yes, she realized some doubtful things about Sam ,but I think they are not enough for her to exactly understand the situation? Could you explain it?
