It seems kind of dumb if they hired a lady that has a twin to play a twin and not use her twin, you know what I mean?

She played both roles Paola and Paulina.Nuria Bages played Paula,the twin's mother

When they absoloutley needed a double as in both sisters have to physical touch each other then they brought in her twin sister, for most of the soap they paola and paulina were in different scenes.

Yes, she did.
Gabriela has a twin sister, but she's not an actress.
Her sister used to be a model.
Well, Televisa had so much high tech, so they could use one actress to play both roles.
