Is this worth seeing?

At first I thought I'd want to see it, the ensemble cast seemed exciting enough.

But this movie really flopped at the box office and didn't get good word of mouth.

I ended up forgetting all about it then I saw it in a remote cornor of my video rental store, and remembered seeing the preview for it.

Does anyone recommend it? If it is worth seeing, I wonder why it flopped so bad at the box office?

well now that its out on video its kinda of worth seeing just dont expect alot from it. most of the cast gives a decent performance

It may be worth watching if you are bored, ill or having a hangover. Nothing special.

Good movie. Very underrated; see it.

I agree with XDpico. I think this movie flopped because people expected an action movie, and really got more of a drama (almost a coming-of-age drama, in a way). The acting in this movie is really superb all the way around, except for maybe John Malkovich (but then, I don't like him anyway). This is, in my opinion, Vin Diesel at his best.

Just don't go into this movie with heavy expectations, because it's pretty original and probably won't match any preconceptions you have of it. However, I've seen this 3 times now (once in the theater) and enjoyed it every time. Definately worth a look!

No definitely not.

Its a mediocre movie all-around. Dialogue is very unnatural (don't know if thats the actors' doing or the writers'), depiction of "townies" is superficial and hackneyed, Dennis Hopper seemed more like a plumber than a mob underboss.

there's more but...just rent "Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels" to see what this movie was trying to be.

i expected more explosions, gun-shooting and that stuff. but it didn't disappointed me. it's really a good movie. watch it, hope you'll enjoy it ;]

100% trash, and I'm a big Dennis Hopper and John Malk fan.

@ OP. Its a better film than Pulp Fiction (1994). Watch it! :)

Although you asked the question way back in 2004 and now its 2012 :)
