Did anyone feel sorry for Marbles?

I really felt for this guy. Yes, he was an idiot and he lost the bag, but boy did everyone give him sh it throughout the whole movie. Like when he tried to apologise to Malkovich and Malkovich punched him and made him pay the cheque at the restaurant and that still wasn't enough, then he had his men KILL him!

Poor Marbles. Did anyone else feel sorry for him? he tried so hard to make it right and in the end he just died.

I wanted to but to be honest, he had it coming. First clue, to me, about how this guy's so unreliable was when he's flying the plane with the bag flying back home & is looking down to sniff on some drugs.......while he's operating the plane !!! That's what started his paranoia when he landed & he panicked w/ the cops who were there just by coincidence. Drugs messed him up & it cost him. If he had stayed focus & just done what he needed to do, he'd made it till the end.

I sorta felt sorry for the guy.He should of left the bag in the plane *At least hide it form the gas attendants* but then again it's a movie lol. I wanted to see Marbles kill at least on of the mobsters who betrayed the Matty's family.

I didn't feel that sorry for him. I saw it coming. The mob aren't known for forgiveness and the last time Teddy told Barry Pepper's character the guy they intended to kill would be alright, they killed him.

HELL NAAW,I didn't feel sorry for his ass. The first time I saw the movie, maybe, because I didn't catch the explicit details. But with subsequent viewings and really listening, he simply *beep* up.

Damn, dude! Leave the f'king money on the plane. The crew was just pumping gas, not vacuuming out the plane. It would've just been a bag to them had they had any reason to go onto the plane. His dumb ass sets the bag on the ground AND WALKS AWAY. At that point he lost control of the bag, and took his eye off of it. So what if you had to double back to the plane. Say you forgot your f'king wallet or was checking mileage or something. Losing control of the bag was HIIIIGHLY F'KED UP.

Get killed was just tough shht for being such a dumbass.

Yeah, he said he keeps a gun in the plane so if he could hide that I'm sure he could hide a bowling ball bag. I knew he was going to die from the start, no way in hell he makes it to the end.

I think it was written to make the audience feel sorry for him, at least a little bit. He was a "nice" guy.

That's partly why Seth Green was cast, he is easy to sympathize with.

That's what I think anyway...

Drugs kill losers everyday.
Good.

Glad he died.

I had no sympathy what so ever, if anything he got off lightly until he got shot.
I very nearly switched the film off when he threw his empty coke can on the floor of the plane and muttered something about having to keep awake before reaching for the other type of coke & snorting it. I just thought bog off, as if you would even risk it.
Then to panic and throw the bag on the floor with the others at the airport he ruined the film for me.
