I can't imagine what I put my father through...

Back when I saw this I was 11 or 12 and it was my first Jason movie in theaters. I was so excited. Of course I had to have my parents take me in order to see it. I thought it was awesome.

The last time I saw this movie was 2002-2003 when it came out on DVD. I still thought it was awesome and even showed it to my friends.

I watched this film last night, for the first time in 12-13 years, and I can't imagine what my dad suffered through while sitting through this movie. Especially since he doesn't like horror movies to begin with.

But yes, this movie is awful to the core. So much worse than Jason Takes Manhatten and the remake combined.

Jason Goes to Hell was better than this too.

The only thing remotely good that New Line has done for Jason was Freddy vs Jason. I say remotely because there's still some flaws, one being Kane Hodder wasn't Jason.

All in all, this movie imo is downright the worst one in the series. I used to think part 8 was bad. Now I add Jason X to the list of Jason movies I never want to see. Part 8, the remake, and now Jason X.

I still find Jason Goes to Hell entertaining because of the special effects and it was probably the goriest Friday film, so that was cool. But other than that I'll just stick with part 1-7 and FvsJ.

Only people with money say that money doesn't matter.

That's too bad. I find Jason X to be good fun.

You want to talk parental torture? I talked my dad into a double feature at the drive-in back in 74 with Godzilla vs Megalon and The Giant Spider Invasion, and he hated monster movies.

Being a kid back then, my brother and I asked my parents why the teens in the car next to us were laughing. Back then, Godzilla was serious business. I now know why they were laughing 42 years later.

I even got him to take me and my brother to see Scanners, which he ended up making us leave because I started passing out. It wasn't the bed exploding scene either, the movie just got too real for me.
