Jim Carrey as George Stobbart

I think Jim Carrey would be perfect for the role of George since he wants to do more serious stuff now and we get some humour aswell the only problem is Jim doesn't like doing squeals to movies so if they were going to do all four movie adaptions to the classic serious they would have to get someone else.

I personally thought owen Wilson would be great for the role, becasue he already has the blond hair, he can do both comedy and 'drama' and he's that sarcastic nature to him.

After seeing this guy in the new Dark Knight trailer, I have to concur with this. First time I saw him I thought, "HOLY *beep* IT'S GEORGE STOBBART!"

Frodoandsam_9 just been reading through these threads in my lunch hour now and stumbled across your post,

"When I Want Your Opinion, I'll Stop Ice Skating n Hell And Ask For It"

Love that signature, it has just provided me with an instant comeback and won me a shocked silence, thank you much! :-D!!!

Jim?

Really?

I guess he might make a reasonable George, but I'll have to see the movie before I make any judgement..

And that won't be for quite a while...

"mac gyver" (Richard Dean Anderson)could play george i think :P

Richard Dean Anderson is about 30 years to old to play George... Don't know why, he dosen't quite look the part or anything but I think Nathan Fillion could be a great George...

I really don't think Jim Carrey would suit him, only really for the fact that to me, every film he's in seems to have the same personality with the same humour / jokes. I haven't really seen him act any differently since The Mask till Bruce Almighty. However don't flame me for saying this since I admit, I could be at fault because I haven't seen all the movies he's been in (Cable Guy for instance), but the ones I have seen he just seems to have the same old role and if it was the same kind of acting for George, it just wouldn't suit.

That's just my opinion though...in a novel as it seems :)

Peter Saarsgaard has always been my favourite choice.

My choice: Noah Wyle. Everyone seen him in The librarian movies?
