Twice on a recent show, the contest had a pretty good amount in their bank, all lifelines gone, the next question they were not sure of, so they guessed. WHY, FOR HEAVEN'S SAKE? If you have won some major money and you might lose if you just guess, WALK AWAY! It's so sad to see someone lose that kind of money because they were greedy, wanted even more, so lost everything when they guessed wrong.

ChucksCherub, of course you are right. I didn't watch the ones with Regis, but do watch the ones with Meredith Viera. And she always tells them "If you guess and get it wrong, you lose your bank." On these, they get half of the bank, so even if bank is only $20,000 or so, they are losing $10,000. I have seen people build up to $50,000, guess, go home with a thousand. And tht probably means they are not getting even that, as they pay their own way to New York, hotel, meals, etc. So if they get a thousand, probably actual going into the hole. Drives me nuts!
