Ive ben watchin it alot on Encore and I noticed something more this time

I mean, I still like the movie a lot, but in the beginning, it made the white guys seem more like the bad guys than it did the blacks guys. Like when the players had to share a room with someone that is the opposite race, it was the white guys that started the trouble each time. And coach Boone was always in the right and Yoast was always in the wrong. Never the opposite way.

And when the parents went to watch the 1st game, the black parents said that the whites still didn't want to sit near them...So that means that the black parents wanted to sit with the white parents, but the white parents didn't want to sit with them?

I still rate the movie a 7.5 out of 10, but I've noticed that lately.

Rodents of Unusual Size?...I don't think they exist.

Well actually in coaching terms Yoast probably comes out looking better than Boone in the end. Boone is ready to bench guys for the whole season after one game; Yoast takes a fast running back and turns him into a stud linebacker.

Also, way back in the first days of training camp, Yoast talks about trying trick plays and Boone blows him off. Then they get to the final play of the state championship game, down 4, 75 yards to go, score or lose, Boone literally makes up a trick reverse play on the spot to win the state title so really Yoast is proven right in the end.

In the movie which was not the reality, it seemed that T.C. was a white school and was being integrated by the black players and parents. The football team was white and they didn't want or need the black players etc, the black people were interlopers. I guess they did this to create friction.

Ever see the Bill Burr bit he does about racial movies? It's like how you're describing.

I haven't. I've never even heard of the guy. I had to look him up after you mentioned him.

Wow all that is interesting and of course at first the black and white players wanted nothing to do with each other, and I have to wonder without him forcing them with 3 a days or even 4 day practices they would have still ignored each other, and who knows if they would have stop that.
