Cultural appropriation?

It never feels right to me when a filmmaker from one country produces a film in a country with a distinctively different culture than his own. And in this case the film also has a somewhat western premise with themes that mimic the themes that you would see in a western film. They just dressed it up in a Nepalese style And shot it in a very visually nice way. The irony is that apparently the way people clothe in the region depicted is much more western than what you see in the movie.

I hate the term "cultural appropriation" but in this case the whole setup and look of the movie feels a bit fake. Thoughts?
