The last cast of mine resulted a big failure and extremely criticized. I'll give it another try, even though, I might make a cast maker in a game magazine, although I may not be succesful. Anyway lets see if I can make it good.

I just don't think it would be as good with big name actors... and personally i can't picture the majority of your picks for the characters... i can't really give reasons, it's just... well, more of a personal preference... I'm a die-hard CT fan and i picture the characters in a certain way... I would be really pissed off if they just threw a bunch of random big name celebrities in there just for the sake of it. For marketing or whatnot... it would be sooo much better with no-names or lesser celebrities (but still with talent) And some of them don't even match the age range or look of the characters! I'm sorry, i just don't like it.. I don't like people casting for movies anyways... i mean like on message boards and stuff.. cause really, all you can work with is known actors, and just base it on looks or previous performances rather than people who would actually be better suited for the roles.

See, a cast like that would have advantages and disadvantages. On the bright side, it would attract people who aren't fans of the CT series (in other words people who have never played the games. lol) Which is always a good thing... but the disadvantage is that i think a lot of CT fans see it the way I do.. (from reading your other post)... so while it would attract some people, it might repel the people who actually want a CT movie... you see what i mean? They shouldn't do it for commercialism, they should try to stay true to the game and its fans.

Aaron Stanford as Crono - he's got the look but he's about 10 years too old
Elisha Cuthbert as Marle/Queen Leene - perfect! if not her, isabella miko.
Lacey Chabert as Lucca - too hot - needs to be geek hot - you know what i mean, maybe Linda Cardellini
Anthony Daniels as Robo - just because he was c3-p0? cmon. CG - voiced by garry oldman
Orlando Bloom as frog - out of the question. permenantly tainted by LOTR. CG voiced by
Emilie De Ravin as Ayla - good choice
Jason Issacs as Magus - perfect. cant think of a single person better
David Warner as Chancellor 1000 AD - meh - small enough role
Patrick Stewart as Chancellor 600 AD - too accomplished and refined to play an underling.
Jeremy Stumper as Kino - way too young
Frank Oz as Ozzie - would have to be CG but... yeah good.
David Boreanaz as Cyrus - good one
Anneliese Van Der Pol as Flea - dont even know who she is...
Adrian Paul as Slash - what about billy idol? not much of an actor but his voice is bad-ass
Christopher Lambert as King Guardia 1000 AD - too "b" movie - richard attenburough(sp?) too old to be leene's father but seems like he'd play a good king.
Sean Connery as King Guardia 600 AD - too A list. maybe willem daffoe
Cree Summer as the voice of Azala
Naomi Watts as Queen Zeal - too young, not evil enough...or at all. angelica houston would be perfect
Jeremy Irons as Dalton - too british art film - try Maxwell Caulfield
Cole Sprouse as Janus (Young Magus) ... yeah. not bad...

you are on the right track and some of them are great. what did you think of my suggestions? try again. this is fun.

I really like the idea of Lacey Chabert, Jason Isaacs, and David Boreanaz in the roles you gave them. However, I'm not sure if I can see Anthony Daniels as Robo, and it is because of his portrayal as C-3P0. After playing a "proper" droid, I can't seem him as a fighter.

Mr. Incredible: Come on, we're superheroes. What could go wrong?

Oh, that Magus - NO WAY!! Magus was always the hottie of the game for me (so what if he looks like a vampire? what if I like vampires?) and when I draw him, I think of Stuart Townsend (who actually was a vampire once...) this Jason Issacs is waaaaay too old (and ugly). Janus looks like an evil kid, the only kid who can looks evil but still be cute and inoccent I can think of right now is Cameron Bright (everybody else on the list is famous, so what). Crono should be a cute kid too, can't remember of anyone right now (of course Aaron's cute, but those extremelly blue eyes of his scare me a little... besides Crono has green eyes...). I was thinking that maybe Ryan Reynolds could dress as a woman and be Flea...
But that's not my point! I don't think a movie movie would be perfect, 'cause they never turn out like the original thing (you can see that in any Marvel movie) I wanted them to make an animation movie of Chrono Trigger, that would be awesome, or maybe a series... well... I dream on...

yes... YES!!! ryan reynolds dressed as a woman as flea... FREAKING PERFECT!!! i would buy it just too see that.. but im also a huge ryan reynolds fan... hes hularious....

Jason Isaacs playing an evil wizard? I wonder what inspired that choice, Brotherhood clearly. Good choice though.

Oldman or Issac for Meagus but totaly Anthony Daniels as Robo would be my choice

Here's my take on it.

CRONO- Shawn Ashmore, Elijah Wood, Justin Chatwin(War of the Worlds), Daniel Radcliff, Shia LaBouf, Jeremy Sumpter

MARLE'- Kaley Cuoco(8 simple rules), The Olsen twins, Kiera Knightly, Evan Rachel Wood, Elisha Cuthbert

FROG/GLENN- Shane West, Orlando Bloom, an unknown

LUCCA- Michelle Tractanburg

MAGUS- Colin Farell, Clive Owen, Viggo Mortenson, Christian Bale, Keanu Reeves, Guy Pearce, Matt Damon, Jason Issacs

Those are the main one I can remember. Haven't played for awhile.

Lucca: ...Gee, I dunno.

Magus: Can't think of a single danged person in the mainstream who would fit the bill, especially the guys listed above. Uh-uh. He'd probably be the fantastic unknown who walks into auditions and the director takes one look at him and screams, "PERFECT!" (funny, I said the same thing about Sephiroth in the FFVII forum)

Frog/Glenn: Orlando Bloom

Gaspar: John Rhys-Davies

what about Schala? what the hell... you put up a guy for the chancellor but no Schala... she's what links Trigger to Cross.

So who'd look the part the most? (blue hair & all)

I dont know, but a couple days ago I was thinking about it. maybe Kristin Kreuk, google a picture of Schala and look at it, her eyes got a bit of *beep* so I htink we have a match for big actors.

it wouldn't be bad if they picked some unknown either, as long as she could play the part. This is if they were to make one live action. If anything they can pull a Beowulf (its animated)

Emily De Raven would probably make a god Kid for an adaptation of Chrono Cross, but that's just probably because she's blonde and Australian.

any ideas?

someone needs to make a Chrono Cross list.
