Which one is better in your opinion and why?
Some say, both are best SNES RPGs and some even say, that they are the best jRPGs ever made.

shareI've pondered it many times, but always fall on Chrono Trigger as my favorite. I actually consider it my second favorite game of all time after FFVII. FFVI is way up on the list though. I think what puts CT over the top for me is the score. One of the best ever put together for a video game. I particularly like the music box tracks that Mitsuda seems so fond of. I've never heard anybody else use them and I just love them.

FFVI. No words for why, it is just amazing. So is CT but FFVI was life changing, lol.

Really hard question. Well, I can't choose one. Both are my favorites games of all time.
Chrono Trigger by a hair. Most of this is because the battle system and New Game+ make it more replay friendly. It's annoying as hell to go through random encounters in FF6 if I just want to enjoy the story again. In CT I know pretty much all the ways to avoid fighting if I want to, so I can enjoy the storyline anyday I want and usually can get through it quickly. It's compact that way almost like a movie.
You really can't go wrong with either one though.
I have to go with Final Fantasy VI but its close both are excellent games...
