Don't feel bad, I'm an adult and I cried like a baby when I saw Mitch die and the first time I saw it I hadn't even seen the whole movie. I haven't been able to catch it on when the kids are home to have the teens watch it, so I just enjoy it.

you aren't the only one surfer....i've seen it 4 times, and cry each time.
dang near broke my heart.

Spoiler alert next time please.

I laughed in disbelief. This movie must have all the cliches used in this type of movies known under the sun. That scene would have been right at home in some mediocre soapy tv-series. But then again chicks afaik cry watching mediocre soapy tv-series so I guess you're pretty normal.

I cry too - every time - and I'm pushing 30!!

I'll trade with anyone who has a jaccuzzi!!!!

Most of the acting in this film was indeed very, very basic, unaided by a very rushed and overly involved plot...

But that scene was exceptionally good and somewhat different to the usual overdramatic ones in films.

what I found most odd was when huey felt remorse the second Mitchell fell to his death.

granted, maybe huey just wanted to mess up mitch a bit, but he had his knife out, he had a chance to run him over w/ a car earlier in the film. there were so many close calls that it baffled me a little when huey showed concern. especially coming from a small time, petty criminal. again, I know he was a simple thief & not a murderer... but I was a little taken back considering everything that lead up to that point b/t the two of them.
