I was thinking...

...what if they were able to continue the storyline from Digimon Adventure 02.

I write this, because I and many others would agree that Digimon Adventure 02 was a big dissapointment and that the epilogue was bad, but there is still a lot of room and potential for development of a darker series

Of course, it would have to be a much darker series.

Here's a rough draft

Digimon Adventure 03

It starts off about 5 years after the defeat of Malomyotismon. At this point, we can focus on themes such as love triangles, betrayal, darker backstories of the main characters, the complexity of the evil digimon and more of a backstory on how the digital world was created.

A tycoon that has an unethical business background history(Lex Luthor like behavior) discovers the realm of the digital world. His interest becomes his heroin and decides to generate virus digimon from the past to eliminate his own competition, like Myotismon, Piedmon,and enemies from the other spinoffs (however, he is very intelligent and he knows how to control them). We can show each of the Digimon's point of views and interests and why they want to do what they do(sort of like in Beast Wars season 2 and 3)

Meanwhile, the Digidestined are in college and find out that there is unusual weather activity in the Japan area and is rapidly progressing into the Pacific ocean, turning into a whirpool-like vortex. The 2nd generation of digidestined(including T.K. and Kari) are immediately sucked into the vortex, where they are sent into the Digital World(specifically Server) and are entrapped by the villains and the businessman.

The 1st generation Digidestined find out about this and find their own way into the Digital World. However, they each land in a different area of the Digital World(except Server). They eventually find each other through the occasional digimon fights, but they prove to be more perilous than ever, with digimon that can only be destroyed at levels higher than champion. As they travel around the world to find the 2nd generation Digidestined, they start having recurring conflicts, which prove to be even deadlier than the previous generations.

The 1st arc involves rescuing the 2nd generation digidestined(about 15-18 episodes) from the 1st boss(Myotismon)

The 2nd arc involves finding out the history of the digital world and it's true purpose(similar to the Architect's speech in the Matrix Reloaded, with Izzy and it's creator having a one-on-one). Also a fight with a 2nd boss(Piedmon and the other Dark Masters with a surprise added) (9-12 episodes)

The 3rd arc would involve working together as a big team and a final showdown between the digidestined and the businessman along with his custom data-constructed digimon, but there would be a huge twist involved in this arc.

This would be the basic outline. If anyone would like to add something, good or bad, feel free.(Probably too late to maek something like this, but anything is possible, we just need to hope like T.K.:P)
