Digimon series 4 was the only good season

If the entire show had the human characters turning into digimon like this season, it would have been so much better. I watched some of the other seasons and they were just awful. It had boring stories and annoying characters(mainly Matt, Davis, Tobi and Yolei). I really did give them a chance since I had nothing else to do on weekday mornings. I court the first episode completely by accident and was blown away at just how much better the characters were and was really impressed with the improved concept. It didn't give me that pokemon vive anymore. It felt worlds apart.

The fourth season was argubly my favorite season, but I still liked the other seasons.

I hated the 4th season. It was too much like an anime, like DBZ or power rangers.
I liked the villain of the week format from season 1 or 2. The concept of biology in digimon is nice to, with there evolutions. Making it the kids, just turned me off. The character arcs were incredibly predictable and over the top too. Then again, they mostly mimicked what they had done before, so it was easy to see what was coming.

People actually liked Frontier? I guess I was put off by the annoying characters, the fact that they seemed to enjoy making people useless for periods of time, and the stupid villains.

I will say that season had the cutest Patamon, but no Digimon partners? Who came up with that brilliant idea? Way to make Digimon seem like a generic kids anime

The 1st and 2nd Series are my favorite. I guess it was due to similar characters. Its was a great show!

I have to wonder how many fans watched the originals subtitled as opposed to dubbed. There's a big difference.

For me, it's the exact opposite. I think season 1 was great! Season 2 was pretty good(not as good as season 1 though). Season 3 is okay I guess. And I did watch a couple of episodes of season 4, but I couldn't get into it at all, so I was all like "screw it!" And I have not seen season 5. (and I don't think I want to either)

Feel about the same. 4 is easily the worst season to me. Only one i had no desire to see again.

Season 1 was great and season 2 struggled a bit but once it got going was good too plus had all the ties to season 1 and felt like a continuation/sequel series.

Season 3 started off a bit bland and slow but kept building. Once the devas came in and had a real narrative going it started getting interesting, then the trip tot eh digital world and eventual chaos leak into the real world was great. Turned into mroe of a serial by the mid point instead of an episodic show like the first two season with an arc.

Find it hard to truly rank the seasons as tehre are things i love for them all and things i felt could be improved too. But season 4 there was hardly anything about it that i liked.

I liked Frontier but Tamers is my favorite.

Tamers is my favourite and I come to appreciate it more as I got older. 03 > 01 > 04 > 02

I think 02 has an incredible amount of potential and even somewhat delivered to that potential, like that episode where Magnaangemon almost took down black war greymon, and the build up to the final episodes was superb, but I felt that was the problem, the build up was so much better then what we recieved as the series was ending. (02 spoilers) I mean destroying Myotismon with hopes and dreams, that just killed all progress the series made redeeming itself to me.
