Pictures. Real Or Fake
So are the pictures used in this film the real pictures that the author found or were they recreated? and if they were real I was wondering if anyone had a link to a site were I could see them.

the photographs were real, and were taken from a book of the same name:

look at that, "Family Love Michael"
You could check the American Memory section of the Library of Congress website. I think that most of the photgraphs could be found in those archives. I'm taking a class with Michael Lesy, the author of the book this film is based on. We use the archives all the time in the class, and I'm pretty sure that at least some of the images in the book came from Library of Congress archives. Hope this helps.
