what a surprise- good movie

I live in a very small rural town in Montana and pick through the video selections and wonder about other people's taste. I kept skipping this movie because I have to be in the mood to watch Sean Penn...so finally I rent it and I watched it twice. All the actors brought such life to their roles...I recommend it all the time.

I just loved the tension between the moderns where sex is just beneath the surface...and could not get over the murder story, the passions and conventions of the villagers made for a trully satisfying and creepy story...in both cases, I really liked how the isolation of each group energized the conflicts.

Penn got the oscar for 'Mystic River' but I really felt him 'acting' in that movie...whereas, here in 'WOW' he was stunning. Just my opinion:-)
