stupid mistakes

It`s been a while since I saw this movie, but I can`t get over the stupid mistakes. I`m from Norway and have to tell you; the historical part is pure bulls***! For heavvens sake; the man put bait on the trawl!!! HALLOOOOOOOO! (a trawl is a bit net that make into a sort of bag and catch fish in. (hard to explain)) the point is that if you ant to put bait on it, you will have to stuff big fishes into the holes of the net. I wont`t do you any good. The norwegian pronounciation was horible, the clothing style looked like they were attending a marriage he entire time, please do not see this film!!!

Funny post. I wonder if the word they used was "trawl." I thought it was "troll." When you troll for fish, you bait the hooks of some fishing rods and tow them behind the boat while it moves slowly through the water. You might be right, though. I hope so because that's a funny mistake!

reply

gubug, who gives a sh!t about the bait? It is a fu**ing movie!

Why don't you just submit it into the goofs that the fishing was wrong, as well as the accents and clothes?

reply

I believe in the book the word was "trawl".

reply

Why don't you "gubug" to where you came and keep your moronic drivel to yourself? Lord t'underin' Jesus, but I hate it when some cretin from some country that is portrayed in a film writes in to nitpick about how things really aren't like that in that country. What do you think, that we all look to Hollywood for historical or geographical accuracy? I watch movies for the story, not for accents and costumes. You imperious buffoon.

reply

Me too. Watching the characters and the unfolding of the story which is more entertaining than watching for lil mistakes that mean nothing toward the plot, or my enjoyment.

and language pronunciation and clothing styles have remained rigid in norway over the last 130 years? i'd love to see the research on that one.

your inability to suspend disbelief is an *excellent* reason the rest of the world should boycot a movie!!

Another obvious mistake was the inclusion of gay females. This is an anachronism. Lesbians were not invented until 1908, and the original patent was filed in London. Not Norway! They are still under strict licensing agreement with the crown, although many have surfaced in industrialized countries.

Prior to 1908, dykes were not allowed to interact, and were required to shout out, "No Way!" whenever accosted, giving the country its name.

In Denmark, it was locally acceptable to place your fingers into a dyke to stop flooding,
or, you know, whatever.
