Question-
I still have the "QFG Anthology" in great condition- but my computer has outgrown it. Is there any way to get these games working again without buying a 486 PC on ebay?

sharehave you tried downloading MOSLO for your computer? It may help a little, but you still won't be able to get past the Tomb in the middle of the swamp =/ Also, on the updated version of the QFG1, one of the doors in the maze with Yorick closes before you can reach it.
shareActually they've come out with patches for those problems recently at: http://www.geocities.com/TimesSquare/Arcade/7435/
shareWhen I played Quest for glory 4 on a pentium II machiene, the game always broke down in the scene where you have to fight the two ghosts or monsters at the swamp.
What I did to fix the problem was, I Downlodad a "PC slow-down software" with that i could slow my PC down and I could finish QFG 4. I cannot remember where I downloaded it from anymore, it has been two years, but I sure hope it is still available.
get DoxBox ( http://dosbox.sourceforge.net/news.php?show_news=1 )
It's a x86 emulator and works great, even with Windows XP. Sound and all.
I'm having a problem with DosBox. I installed and configured it fine, but I still can't install QfG4. I am able to get to the part where you select which game to install out of the Anthology, but it only lets me select the old version of QfG1. Any help is appreciated.
shareVDMsound is another good one to try: http://sourceforge.net/projects/vdmsound/
As for installing the games off of the old cd's, there are a few tricks you can try such as copying the files or running the install.exe files for that particular game directly. "The Abandoned Gamesroom" may be another place to try to look for help.
Hi sorry for the late reply, I hadn't been here since I posted. Try installing it outside dosbox, then play it in dosbox. i dont' think you can install it in dosbox so think outside the dosbox! ;)
Free Jick!
You can also try installing Dosbox and installing D-fend(the graphical add-on for Dosbox).
shareTime to go Dosbox my friend. www.dosbox.info or google search it.

You people. If there isn't a movie about it, it's not worth knowing about, is it?
