yeah, seriously. he was twice her size.

He was not twice her size, they were in the same weight range. Men on this board are so insecure - must be an American thing.

They definitely weren't in the same weight class, just by looking at them in the ring. Yes the movie claimed they were, but that clearly wasn't the case.
shareYou are delusional if you think they were in the same weight range. There is no way they could be in the same weight class. The only one who is insecure here is you the way you blindly defend a woman and generalize not only an entire country of people but also a gender of people.
share... they were in the same weight range. What's the problem? She wins an amateur weight division bout on points and the chattering classes claim it's impossible.
thats doesnt mean anythin..
im a girl and i do boxin and there are a lot of guys that i go agaist and they are amazin fighters..but i can still throwdown and beat em
jus cause she was a girl doesnt mean anythin
Because anecdotal evidence = UNIVERSAL TRUTH!
Your opponents were either tomato cans or too distracted by your cans to do anything.
All we learned from this movie is that anything can happen as long as you are fueled by anger and bitterness.

It's not impossible. There are alot of women boxers who would cream some men (probably not the champions) in the same weight class. Leila Ali, Christy Martin, Lucia Rijker (who played Hillary Swank's opponent in Million Dollar Baby).
sharedid you watch the movie?!
Hector said time and time again: "you have power. more than anyone realizes."
She knew how to defend; even Adrian's coach said it.
All she had to do was harness her power and beat him.
So what if they "weren't in the same weight class". We're going by the movie facts, they were.
& Diana had the potential to go pro, too.
He'd been training a lot longer, but she'd been training, too. And she wanted it more. ← most important thing.
"Do you even remember what you came here to find?"
