Weird idea I had for Ginger Snaps 3.

It would be called "Ginger Snaps 3: Together Forever", and would of course have both Emily Perkins and Katharine Isabelle. I figured it would be a good idea for Brigitte to face a much more adult problem than what she faced in the first one (puberty) and even the second (addiction), given that Ms. Perkins is now in her 30s.

My thought for continuing the plot would be that, after a year or so of feeding people to Brigitte, Ghost is found out by another werewolf named Nick, who rescues Brigitte and gives her a new cure that allows werewolves to maintain human form most of the time.

Many years pass, and Brigitte (now an adult) is married to Nick, and the two of them are living together in a small town in the Cascades, where their lycanthropy will not draw too much attention. Nick is beginning to grow increasingly violent and possessive of Brigitte, however, and starts seriously injuring her when he suspects her of being unfaithful. He justifies his actions by saying that he rescued her to begin with, and she'd still be in the basement if it weren't for him.

Brigitte gets fed up, and leaves to spend time alone and arrange a divorce. But a woman that looks mysteriously like Ginger seduces Nick, and convinces him to pursue her. Brigitte suddenly finds herself being stalked by her werewolf ex-husband and the phantom of her sister, who may not have been as dead as she suspected, or may have been revived.

Nick would be defeated by Brigitte at about the third act, leaving Brigitte to finally confront Ginger and the promise they made that they would be 'together, forever', a quasi-magical force which had kept Ginger from passing into the afterlife and torments Brigitte mercilessly. Brigitte finally makes peace with Ginger, allowing her to die for real and curing Brigitte of her lycanthropy, allowing her to finally live a normal life.

It's a bit tacky, but I believe Brigitte deserves a happy ending.

I didn't mind Ginger Snaps 3 as it was but I do admit, this is probably the only way to carry on from the giant hole the filmmakers *beep* buried themselves in with the second.

Oh and if you want a weird idea for a Ginger Snaps related movie, I could name one which is weirder. Ginger Snaps: The Musical!

Yeah, Ginger coming back would be about the only way to do it. I'd like to think that someone would have taken an interest in Ginger's dead body and cloned her or something. Perhaps the military might have been interested in creating an army of werewolves with superhuman abilities, but then Ginger managed to escape the laboratory after killing everyone in it and then went about looking for Brigette.

Not a bad idea  honestly, at the most i want bridgette to escape the basement and maul ghost. maybe jason infected more people with his lycanthrophy? did sam get infected?

The more personalities you have the less boring you are!

reply

Sam got infected by Ginger, yeah, but I'm fairly certain he was killed by her in the end. So I don't think we'd be able to count on Sam appearing in a sequel.

reply

Oh, good Lord! Ginger didn’t kill Sam. Sam was the wolf in Snaps 2 who was stalking B and trying to mate with her! Doesn’t ANYONE pay attention any more?!

Interesting concept. I wouldn't mind seeing something like that. And I agree. Part of what bugged me about Unleashed was how unneccesarilly cruel it was towards Brigitte. She deserved a "happier" ending than she got.

It's a shame. The original concept for a fourth film would have evidently been Ghost sort-of striking out against society with Were-Brigitte as her "pet." It would have been an interesting continuation, although without Emily and Katharine, I fear it would drift too far from the original storyline.

I was hooked on these movies back in High School (still am now, nearly twelve years later), and always had my own "dream" idea for another entry that I thought in my 16-year-old mind would be the perfect continuation. It was called Ginger Snaps: Blood Brothers (alternate title: Ginger Snaps: Good-Boy), and would essentially be a soft-reboot taking place in the same "universe", but focusing on two brothers- one of whom is sort-of an older, alpha-male jock named Trent Warner, and the other a slightly younger, meek bookworm-type called Felix. Much as in the original, Felix is bitten, and his brother watches him slowly turn into a more aggressive, dark, alpha-male type who begins to violently lash out at those who formally bullied and humiliated him. (In addition to more sexually aggressive.) It would make Trent see the error of his own ways as he tried to save Felix. In my mind, I wanted the climax to take place in their family home, after Felix has killed their parents and set fire to the house. Unlike the original, he wouldn't be fully turned and thus was still somewhat "human" and Trent would be forced to kill him by pinning him under a pile of burning support-beams, leaving him to burn while Felix screamed and swore and cursed his brother for killing him.

In retrospect, kind of a crappy story, lol. (Don't judge, I was just a stupid teen, haha.) But I'd almost like to see a follow-up that did sort-of explore the concept from a male perspective if they couldn't get Katharine and Emily back in any capacity. Outside of that, the only option to continue would be a full-on reboot of some sort.

Although with streaming services delivering such high-quality content these days, I could see turning it into a Netflix or Hulu series as well. Perhaps ignore the events of the second film and do a series on Brigitte, haunted by the death of her sister, as she tries to elude a group of lycanthropes that seem to be tracking her? Or maybe she's hunting them in a bid for revenge? Or maybe expand it to include other mythological creatures? There's a lot you could do with these characters and the subversive, metaphorical storyline.

And FURTHERMORE, this is my signature! SERIOUSLY! Did you think I was still talking about my point?

Don’t any of you who posted before this quit your day job.

Even 5 years ago, you were ten years too late for a part three. Unless you're not counting Ginger Snaps Back because it was a prequel.
