Why is 'Do me a favour?' so funny?

I'm from the UK so I'm familiar with this expression but whenever its used at the start of the film everyone round the table laughs hysterically!!

Why? It's mildly amusing, nothing more...

I think 'Do me a favour' is also a bit like Gangster's catchphrase. I get the impression that he uses it alot and so that's why the rest of his cronies laugh when one of them mocks Gangster about the wedding saying 'Do me a favour'

Or you could mix it up with the Mike Reid classics as follows:

Pack it in . . .

or

Turn it in . . .

The chice as they say is yoooours.

I've got a bit of a cold at the moment. I picked my bum earlier, now my left nostril smells funny.

because he obviously says it alot and they repeat him when he goes to the toilets so that shows that he says it alot and there laughin at him saying it not the actual thrase 'do me a favour'

"Do Me A Favour" is the British version of the American gangster catch-all phrase "Forget About It" (Faggedabatit!)
