I just watched the first ep - my god - he was so good even then! Makes it almost surprising how long it took him to become the household name he now is.

it's an internet joke. sometimes, when someone goes to hit the shift button to capitalize ("omg," for instance), they'd hit the "z" key instead. it started to catch on and now "zomg" is just a more...hyperactive version of "omg."
and also, it's astounding to me as well how long it took for people to widely recognize the fact that david tennant is awesome, because he is!
I know! I went from Broadchurch to this and couldn't believe how young he is.
