great movie

it is even better than Ninja Scroll, and the music is wonderful :)

Maybe if it had been done later, just a coupe of years, the outcome would have been better. But the animation was far from perfect, the music unfortunately too. There was one piece I particularly liked, but I could not find the soundtrack anywhere...

Im afraid youre wrong- I can appreciate old things, in fact- I do prefer them from movies made now. Wrath of the ninja is just no so good.

One reason perhaps that some people did not really like this was that they saw the movie version, which was edited down to something like 90 minutes, whereas the original anime was 3 seperate 45 minute chapters.

I will grant that there are some parts that are very hard to keep up with, even from the original series, and the fact is that they made some mistakes - at least I assume they were mistakes - in a few scenes at the ends of the first two chapters when they show Oda Nobunaga and the Oboro-shu that are still alive at that point, because they Oboro-shu were depicted quite differently in a few cases in those scenes as opposed to how they looked when they were really featured later. Also, the numbers were quite wrong as well, since Nobunaga and Ryoan were both actually Oboro-shu and unaware, which means two of the Oboro-shu in each of those scenes should not actually exist (though maybe only one since Ranmaru was *not* an Oboro-shu like we were meant to assume.
Also, the voice of Ongyo no Kiheiji changed drastically from chapters 2 and 3, which might have confused some viewers in regards to who he was.

Oh, and I have the soundtrack, which I enjoyed a lot. But it's probably next to impossible to find now days.
